Your religion claims the Nephites came to America in or about 589 BC at the urging of God. The last four books of the Old Testament were written at that time or later, yet there are references to them in the New Testament.

Nowhere in the copies from the original texts of the New Testament is this event recorded. All words from God at the same time period are recorded, but it is silent about the Nephites. No mention of this great migration. No mention of intentions. No mention of God's command.

The question you need to ask yourself is, "Why would Jesus or His disciples NOT mention this HUGE event in the history of the Jews?"Marcus Brodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04849526805381192116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4088931742348517931.post-78844550074661522092008-11-06T11:25:00.000-08:002008-11-06T11:25:00.000-08:00Rick B is the biggest weenie on the internet, and ...Rick B is the biggest weenie on the internet, and should never be taken seriously. He is not looking for truth like he claims, but rather, he is simply trying to tarnish the Mormon religion. However, I, being a Mormon, will try to answer your question the best I can. Jesus does mention some Old Testament prophets, I know he mentions Jonna and he reads from Isaiah. Jesus does not rattle off a list of prophets going back to before the flood like Rick B claims he does. The prophets Jesus does mention were all well known prophets found in the Jewish scripture and well known to the Jews he was speaking to. Why would he talk about Alma to Jews in Jerusalem who had never even heard of Alma or the New World?Weston Krogstadthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00263425799672201276noreply@blogger.com
